Volunteers
Volunteer Needs:
Foster Care Providers -- People with farms to care for HLU horses for temporary periods of time at no expense or minimal charge to HLU.
Fund-Raisers -- To help with and plan our fund-raising events.
Horse Whisperers -- People who use the gentle way of starting horses under saddle.
Special Events Personnel
-- HLU often sets up booths/tables at various events/stores and
participates in parades and more. Many reliable volunteers are needed
to make these events successful.
Tax Specialist -- Someone knowledgeable in taxes.
Note: Working in a volunteer position will often lead to a paid position in the workforce.
Volunteer your time and be eligible to win monthly prizes.
Volunteers are eligible to receive rewards, free dinners, membership and more.
You must keep track of your hours and locations/events.
All volunteers donating 25 hours in a one-year period will receive a free dinner and public recognition.
All volunteers donating 50 hours or more in a one year period will receive the dinner and a one year membership to HLU.*
All volunteers donating 200 hours or more over any period of time will receive the dinner and a lifetime membership to HLU.*
All volunteers donating at least 4 hours in a one-month period are eligible for the monthly prize drawings. Prizes vary.
*All memberships are subject to termination should the member be found guilty of any action detrimental to HLU.
